Member Commitment and Responsibilities
Members agree to further the aims and objectives of the Association and to promote self-regulation.
Members in the ICO and Co (contractor) membership categories commit to act as responsible members of the Association by following guidelines of the Association as appropriate and being willing to be audited against compliance with relevant guidelines where required by a client contract.
While IMCA produces guidance rather than standards and their adoption is not mandatory, the commitment above is not undertaken lightly and members are actively encouraged to follow guidance wherever appropriate. Members place great value on the benefits to be gained from membership and actively promote the Association and its guidance to their clients and across the industry.
Companies wishing to join IMCA as diving contractor members need to demonstrate their ability to operate in accordance with the IMCA International Code of Practice for Offshore Diving. For more details on this aspect, please contact us.
All members are encouraged to take an active part in the affairs of the Association.
