Website Updates

February 2007

  • Open Search provider - add IMCA's search engine to your browser - browsers such as Internet Explorer 7 now enable site-specific and other search engines to be added to the user's browser (in IE7, this is as an additional search provider in the drop-down list top right). Click on the headline to add IMCA's search engine to your browser. Members should log in and add the members-only search version, which includes full text search of over 1000 downloadable documents.

  • Search facility added to the site.
  • Factsheets and other materials added to the site, providing downloadable information on IMCA's role, achievements and current activities for offline reading and use with third parties.
  • Upgraded website launched, including clearer navigation with an enhanced 'related links' panel, an extended 'About IMCA' section, giving more information on the work of the Association as a whole, plus updated publications and events overviews. Use of graphics and fonts has been optimised to shorten download times.

  • A new look for imca-int.com, reflecting the new IMCA logo and taking the opportunity to review site content and generally freshen the look. Updated area homepages simplify navigation and reduce the need for scrolling.
  • An updated IMCA Regions section has been created, paving the way for a major expansion of content in this area.

  • Members-only website launched - a new secure resource for IMCA members, providing a one-stop site with all IMCA documentation available for download alongside the extensive profile and background information which exists here on the public website.

  • Redesigned divisional/core activity homepages - streamlined points of entry to specific areas of member/visitor interest. Generally groups content into three distinct blocks - 'News', 'Profile' and 'Publications', letting a visitor find their way around more easily without too much distraction.
  • New directory structure - reorganisation of content in preparation for development of new member resource - many page addresses will have changed and bookmarks/favorites may need updating.
