IMCA

Logo

In 2002, IMCA adopted a new logo to better reflect the Association and its activities. After reviewing a number of drafts, the end result incorporates the old version, with additional elements to demonstrate that IMCA is the international association representing underwater engineering contractors.

Old IMCA logo

The old IMCA logo was widely recognised within the industry, but to people unfamiliar with the Association, did not demonstrate the Association's role and activities. For this reason, it was agreed to keep the IMCA name in the same text and with the same spacing as previously.

Globe

The addition of an outline globe denotes IMCA's status as a world-wide association representing contractors operating internationally - indeed, in every major area of offshore activity around the globe.

Wave

The new logo is framed by a wave at its top and a line at its base, demonstrating the range of subsea work carried out by IMCA members, from the vessel operators active through to the divers and ROVs working down to the sea bed.

Cog

The final addition was that of a cog, strongly identifying the engineering base of members' activities and IMCA's work.

The IMCA logo

The end result is the new IMCA logo, shown in full to the left and reproduced on all of IMCA's documentation, the websites and elsewhere.
