IMCA

The Association's Structure

IMCA’s work is overseen by the Association’s Overall Management Committee, which comprises the chairmen and vice-chairmen of the core and divisional committees along with the Chief Executive and Technical Director. On a day-to-day basis, IMCA is run by its Chief Executive, from the London-based secretariat. A Council comprised of representatives from the large ‘International Contractor’ members provides political direction and support.

All members benefit from the work of the two international core activities, receiving regular briefing and being represented with client and regulatory bodies at an international level across the broad range of members’ operations:

IMCA then has four technical divisions, each covering a specific area of members' activities. Members join one or more divisions appropriate to their area(s) of work. Each division has its own management committee, elected from and working for its members world-wide. The divisions are as follows:

Finally, IMCA is active at a regional level, with regular meetings of members to enable networking and the exchange of information and expertise on key issues and developments of particular interest in those regions. Issues discussed are reported back and valuable input is provided to the divisional and core committees, not least through the establishment of a number of core and divisional sub-groups in some regions, mirroring the global structure (and represented on the corresponding global committees) and allowing members to address technical issues specific to each region:
