IMCA Secretariat » Staff

The secretariat's Support Services Team is responsible for much of the day-to-day delivery of member services. This ranges from publications sales and member communications through event administration, organisation of committee and workgroup meetings to maintenance of the secretariat's London office facilities and supporting the technical team.


Michelle Salway

Michelle Salway
Publications Sales Co-ordinator

Michelle first joined IMCA in June 2010 as our Receptionist and Office Administrator and in March 2011 moved in to her new role as Publications Sales Co-ordinator. Michelle provides wide-ranging support to the secretariat, members and a range of other individuals with whom IMCA deals. She is dedicated to IMCA's publications sales service - including invoicing, distribution, liaison with printers and dealing with various enquiries from around the world.

Michelle has much experience in customer service; her role previous to IMCA was as a customer service executive for a leading conference producing company.


Kayleigh Tucker

Receptionist & Office Administrator

Kayleigh joined IMCA in March 2011 as our Receptionist & Office Administrator. Kayleigh assists the Support Services team in various administrative tasks - in particular with publications sales - as well as being the first point of contact on the telephone and for our visitors.

Kayleigh has a background in customer service and administration; her previous role was as an administrator and audio typist for a law firm.


Michelle Forward

Membership Co-ordinator

Michelle joined IMCA in November 2010 as our Membership Co-ordinator. Michelle's role consists of managing and co-ordinating the membership process including enquiries, applications, invoicing and contacts as well as building and maintaining relationships with all our existing members and potential members.

Michelle has over eight years experience in customer service including two years experience in membership. Her previous role was as a membership secretary for a leading defence and security think tank in London.


Parul Patel

Parul Patel
Events Co-ordinator

Parul joined IMCA in 2003 and has extended her role as the association has grown. As one half of the events team, Parul has a particular focus on arrangements for the range of seminars - including the hugely popular IMCA annual and safety seminars as well as smaller briefing sessions held around the world - and committee meetings, liaising with members and welcoming visitors to IMCA's offices in London.

Co-ordination of a variety of administrative systems which help the secretariat's work to run smoothly is also a key part of Parul's responsibilities.

Parul spent her early years in Fiji before moving to the UK to complete her education in law at the University of Wolverhampton.


Claudine Bleza

Events Co-ordinator

Claudine joined IMCA in April 2007 as its second dedicated events administrator. Her primary role is co-ordination of the association’s involvement in a variety of industry exhibitions and conferences, provision of relevant IMCA materials for members exhibiting at other events and management of IMCA social events, such as the annual charity ball and golf day. Her work also involves working with Parul on seminar administration and sharing in various other support tasks.

Originally from the Philippines, Claudine moved to England as a child with her family.


Ann Barnatt

Document Production Co-ordinator

Ann officially joined IMCA in May 2007, although she had provided administrative support on an as-required basis from 1984 to 1998. In that time the association has grown and changed markedly and Ann is enjoying learning about IMCA in the twenty-first century.

Ann's particular area of expertise is document production, having used many systems with a variety of publishing companies. As well as helping with day-to-day needs, Ann is also leading efforts to complete the set of documentation available via the members-only website, as well as assisting with more general support team tasks.


Andy Butler

Document Production Co-ordinator

Andy joined the expanding IMCA team in October 2008, with a particular focus on document production.

He moved from Manchester earlier in 2008 to live in North London. Coming from a background in document design, page building and print production, he has experience with a variety of desktop publishing applications, creative packages and printing techniques.


Sayeeda Ahad

Sayeeda Ahad
Document Production Administrator

Sayeeda joined IMCA in May 2010 as a new member of our document production team, with a focus on issuing many of our member communications including minutes, information notes and safety flashes, as well as assisting in other varied administrative tasks.

Having graduated in law, Sayeeda has a varied background working in both the private and public sector within the area of document production. She is enthusiastic to be part of an organisation that has grown remarkably in the past few years.


Gordon Kelly

Gordon Kelly
Database Administrator/Developer

Gordon joined IMCA in September 2009 in a new role, assisting in implementation and testing of the new CMID database and website. This includes liaison with its developers, ongoing administration and providing helpdesk support for members and other users. Additionally, he will assist in supporting the secretariat's IT network and development of both existing and new databases for the association.

Gordon studied computing science at university in Glasgow and comes from a software and database development background with experience of helpdesk and IT support.


Jean Carmichael

Jean Carmichael
Financial Administrator

Jean joined IMCA in 2005, looking after the financial well-being of the Association. Her role ranges from banking receipts and issuing payments to detailed record keeping, payroll and tax calculations. She prepares regular reports on the Association's finances for the Chief Executive and Overall Management Committee.

Jean, who grew up in South America, now lives in South London, has worked in accounting for some 30+ years.
