Setting Performance Measures
IMCA Seminar, 2002

Marine contractors know only too well the demands being placed on them to show that their operations are safe and efficient and are well aware of the limitations of some of the frequently used measures.

IMCA's SEL Committee organised this workshop in 2002, covering leading and lagging indicators of health & safety and environmental performance. The event provided an excellent opportunity for members to come together and discuss this important topic, with some extremely constructive debate and dialogue taking place.

The event proved an important step in the development of the committee's work on such performance indicators, subsequently published in 2003 and 2004 respectively. A set of summary proceedings of the event is available to members on request.
