Events
The TCPC Core Activity's was established to set out a framework within which contractor members could ensure and demonstrate the competence of their personnel working in safety-critical positions - the product of which is its guidance on competence assurance and assessment.
Both as part of the development of this guidance and subsequently to assist members implementing their own competence schemes based on the framework, IMCA has held a number of workshops on the theme of personnel competence.
The events have included analysis of current status, presentations on the guidance and from guest speakers in related areas, such as regulators, lawyers and insurers, plus those providing their experiences from other industries, together with 'syndicate' sessions dedicated to current issues in each technical sector.
