IMCA Diving Division has held a number of seminars aimed at sharing experiences, promoting safe practices and dealing with current issues affecting the offshore diving industry around the world.
Its first major event, although smaller workshops had been held previously, took place in 2001 in Stavanger, Norway, combined with the annual Marine Division seminar. By joining with the popular marine event, held since 1993, a marker was set that these diving seminars would be aimed at a wide and interested audience, with a range of presentations on key topics, panel discussions and smaller workshop sessions, providing a variety of ways in which to move the debate forward and find solutions to current issues. Indeed, the inaugural event was a great success and a second joint seminar followed a year later in Aberdeen.
Since 2004, all four technical divisions (Diving, Marine, Offshore Survey and Remote Systems & ROV) have combined to organise the IMCA Annual Seminar. Click here for current details, or see below for more information on previous events, including how to obtain copies of proceedings.
