Diving Division Events
IMCA Diving Division has held a number of seminars aimed at sharing experiences, promoting safe
practices and dealing with current issues affecting the offshore diving industry around the world.
Its first major event, although smaller workshops had been held previously, took place in 2001 in
Stavanger, Norway, with joint and parallel sessions alongside the annual IMCA Marine Division seminar. By joining with the popular
marine event, held annually since 1993, a marker was set that these diving seminars would be aimed at a wide and interested audience,
with a range of presentations on key topics, panel discussions and smaller workshop sessions, providing a variety of ways in which to
move the debate forward and find solutions to current issues. Indeed, the inaugural event was a great success and heralded a permanent
expansion of the retitled 'IMCA Annual Seminar'.
Since 2005, all four technical divisions (Diving, Marine, Offshore Survey and Remote Systems & ROV)
have combined to organise the IMCA Annual Seminar. See below for current details or below right for more information on previous
events, including how to obtain copies of proceedings.
