Experience and Employment Profile of North Sea Diving Personnel 2000-2003
|
IMCA D 029 reported on the analysis of the experience and employment profile of diving personnel world-wide in the year 2000, which provided detailed analysis on a region-by-region basis of diver and supervisor working patterns.
However, when publishing that report, IMCA was aware that the results were for one year only and that, with the industry changing rapidly, it would be useful to repeat the exercise for future years.
For the North Sea area, where there is a limited number of emlpoyers, a degree of stability among the workforce and record keeping is to an extremely high standard, the original survey was extremely accurate. This follow-up report contains the results of the initiative to examine data for the three following years and contains some interesting information which will help inform future decisions and IMCA work items.
