Events
The IMCA Annual Seminar builds on the series of Marine Division events held each year since 1993 in various key locations for the offshore industry around the globe.
These events bring together delegates from around the world - including onshore managers, vessel crew, designers, consultants, suppliers and regulators - for presentations on:
- the latest technologies and operational developments;
- operational experience, particular in emerging markets, with their new environments;
- 'hot topics' where informed debate by those active and interested in the industry has helped reach consensus and has fed back into the production of best practice guidance.
The seminar format includes formal presentations, with short question-and-answer sessions after each speaker, workshops and small discussion sessions, informal receptions and dinners, plus an associated exhibition by members of IMCA who supply the specialist vessel industry.
Since 2001 the seminar has been extended to include additional sessions of interest to other sectors of the industry - in 2001 combining with IMCA Diving Division, then in 2002 featuring sessions on offshore safety, building to the combined IMCA Annual Seminar held since 2004 with participation from all four IMCA technical divisions (Diving, Marine, Offshore Survey and Remote Systems & ROV).
