Marine Division Profile
IMCA Marine Division promotes good practice, disseminates technical and safety-related information and supports its members, who operate offshore construction and support vessels world-wide.
The division is concerned with all aspects of specialist vessel operations, with a notable emphasis on dynamic positioning (DP). This includes work in relation to position reference systems and thrusters as well as a wide variety of equipment used in marine construction operations.
A wide range of guidance has been produced, covering everything from design and specification of vessels and equipment through personnel training, certification and ongoing competence assessment to work planning and procedures.
