IMCA Marine Division

Personnel

IMCA Marine Division works to assist its members in ensuring the availability of personnel with the skills and training needed by the industry for its global operations.

The maritime sector is subject to a multitude of regulations, with a wealth of guidance, documentation and certification schemes available. IMCA helps identify aspects relevant to its members' specialist operations in the marine contracting industry and combines their expertise to develop additional guidance where appropriate.

Competence assurance and assessment

The IMCA competence assurance and assessment guidance framework in the marine sector helps contractors undertaking a wide range of operations using specialist offshore construction and support vessels to ensure and demonstrate that their personnel are competent for the safety-critical roles they fulfil. Training and certification

IMCA helps its members identify appropriate training, including that offered in line with IMO requirements for maritime personnel, other relevant courses and, where appropriate and useful for its members, by developing guidance specific to the marine contracting industry.
