Standard ROV Audit Document

This document provides a set of templates for a high-level ROV audit document, each covering a specific phase/element of an ROV project.

Each template builds on and references appropriate documentation already existing in many ROV operators' management systems - not seeking to replace or duplicate well-functioning procedures, but rather providing a consistent interface for clients and helping to bring a clarity and consistency to client expectations and demands on operators.

The areas covered are:

• Cover document
• Pre-mobilisation certificates
• Post-mobilisation certificates
• Function checks and wet test
• Equipment, spares and consumables inventory
• Systems documentation
• Project-specific documentation

Additionally, the document contains a pre-mobilisation checklist to assist companies without such a document in-house. This checklist has separate sheets covering the following items of equipment:

• Control container
• Workshop container
• Umbilical winch/umbilical (including power pack)
• Deployment A-frame (including power pack)
• Deployment crane (including power pack)
• Power cables
• Deck cables
• ROV
• Cage/TMS

Overall, the document should be completed as appropriate by the operating company and passed to the client as part of the documentation package. All of the templates are easily customised to suit specific company needs.
