Offshore Survey Division Profile
IMCA Offshore Survey Division represents contractors active in offshore and hydrographic surveying, positioning and inspection work offshore.
The division is concerned with all aspects of equipment, operations and personnel relating to offshore survey operations.
Key activities include an expanding programme developing technical guidance and reports and initiatives to help raise the sector's profile, both among clients and, importantly, among potential recruits. One of the division's main goals is to attract personnel to work in the industry, help ensure that educational establishments offer relevant courses and then provide ongoing training and assessment to ensure competence, particularly in safety-critical positions.
