The IMCA Midsummer Charity Ball will take place on Friday 6 June 2008 at Castle Fraser, Aberdeenshire, UK.
|
After the spectacular success of the 2007 event at Fyvie Castle, this year we move to another magnificent National Trust of Scotland venue (see www.nts.org.uk for full details).
The evening will begin with a piper to greet guests as they arrive for reception drinks set to music inside the castle. Dinner, speeches, entertainment and dancing will take place in a luxury marquee. A full evening of entertainment has been arranged including 'te POOKa', a casino and Simon Howie's Dance Band, accompanied by callers for those of you unfamiliar with Scottish jigs. A thrilling fireshow will bring the evening to a close.
Most importantly, as well as having a great evening with friends and colleagues, the main objective of the evening is to raise money for the Sailors' Society - "a worldwide organization providing a personal lifeline for seafarers without distinction for nationality or faith. It exists to enrich and enhance seafarers’ lives, replacing their isolation with belonging." For more details please visit www.sailors-society.org
