The IMCA Americas Deepwater Section, established in 2002, meets quarterly in the region to provide members with networking opportunities, present the work of IMCA to clients, regulators and other potential members and to enable discussion of key topics of interest in the region.
The section has a remit to maintain, promote and exchange information on good practice.
Representation
The section is represented throughout the world-wide committee structure, allowing input and feedback into the association's global core activities and technical divisions. The section's chairman also serves as a member of IMCA's Overall Management Committee.
Local Issues with World-Wide Representation
In addition to quarterly general section meetings, addressing the wide range of issues important to IMCA's members based and active in the Americas, sub-groups have been formed, bringing together enthusiastic individuals representing numerous member companies to deal with specific areas, mirroring the same structure as IMCA's world-wide committees. Able to tackle local issues directly and providing an additional route to ensure the international focus of IMCA's work, the sub-groups meet regularly and are represented on the corresponding global committees.
