IMCA's regional sections provide a forum for members to address local issues, network and both learn about and contribute to the association's global work programme.

The Asia-Pacific Section holds quarterly meetings where members discuss IMCA's global work and local issues, with clients and potential member guests joining the meetings for presentations on current IMCA work and a variety of other topical issues. Meetings move around the region, with recent venues including Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

The section is also active between meetings on national regulatory developments, where members are briefed and consulted and industry responses submitted by IMCA as required, and through workgroups set up from time to time for specific work items, which have help further enhance the range of guidance produced by the association.

Members in the region elect representatives to serve on each of the association's committees that direct the world-wide work programme.
