Local Issues

The Europe & Africa Section has a work programme tailored to the needs of members in this diverse region, while also reflecting the general European base of IMCA's world-wide activities.

The following issues are particular highlights of the section's work programme, with more formalised links into various other workgroups. Links are provided to selected work items where further information is available on this site.

• EU legislation - monitoring, briefing and development of guidance on EU legislation, including directives on working time, 'physical agents' and working at height
• Security issues relating to work offshore West Africa, with input to the global IMCA Security Task Force
• Health and medical management issues in West Africa
• Decommissioning
• Offshore renewable energy
• Liaison with other industry bodies, such as NOGEPA, OLF, UKOOA and LOGIC. This includes involvement with a number of UK government-industry initiatives.
