IMCA's regional sections provide a forum for members to address local issues, network and both learn about and contribute to the association's global work programme.
The Middle East & India Section - the first to be established, back in 1992 under predecessor organisation AODC - has a successful and ongoing history of promoting key guidance documents, spreading their adoption and recognition and increasing membership, all improving safety within the industry.
The section holds quarterly meetings where members discuss IMCA's global work and local issues, as well as briefing seminars for clients and potential members, which have taken place in Egypt, India, Qatar and the UAE.
Members in the region elect representatives to serve on each of the association's committees that direct the world-wide work programme.
