We have been very busy at IMCA during 2019 with a packed programme of regional meetings around the world and a series of interesting technical seminars. 

Regional meetings

Over 600 members attended regional meetings around the world in 2019 with IMCA updates presented alongside feature presentations from guest speakers.

The Europe & Africa region met twice in 2019, in Antwerp (20 Feb) and in Bergen (12 Nov).

Middle East & India organised three regional meetings in Mumbai (26 Feb), Jebel Ali (24 Apr) and Dubai (24 Sep).

Asia-Pacific hosted a series of very popular meetings in Saigon (21 Mar), Kuala Lumpur (12 June), Jakarta (11 Sep) and Singapore (27 Nov)

In the Americas, Rio de Janeiro was the venue for two South America regional meetings (14 Mar and 17 Oct) and the North America region met in Houston (12 Feb) 

Technical seminars

The 2019 Technical seminars started on 5 February with the ever popular Competence & Training Seminar in Aberdeen attended by over 100 delegates.

We had a busy Autumn programme holding two events back to back in Amsterdam with a combined attendance of almost 200 delegates - Lifting & Rigging on 24 September and Marine Renewable Energy on 25 September.

We held our first seminar on Digitalisation on 15 October in London and, the ‘Engaging and Empowering a new Workforce’ forum in Houston on 24 October. 

We travelled again to Amsterdam for our last technical seminar of the year - HSSE took place on 19 and 20 November and was attended by over 70 delegates over both days.
