Tribute to the late John Baron

Over his career John worked for McDermott, Technip (Stena & Coflexip-Stena) and Oceaneering, but his name and reputation shall always be synonymous to many as being primarily associated with the reelship APACHE, spoolbases and the execution of EPIC rigid flowline projects. Alongwith the late Arthur McEwen, John was the ram-rod who strived for operational excellence and nurtured a young team that successfully delivered many trail-blazing subsea projects worldwide.
John was a great boss, mentor and friend and shall be sadly missed by us. For those who know him best, he was many things, but he was never flexible. Big wheels keep on turning, RIP JB
