Changes to IMCA IT Services Team

Published on 30 November 2017

IMCA has appointed Adam Hugo as its new IT Services Supervisor & System Developer. In this role, he is responsible for the support and continuous improvement of a variety of services, including: the secretariat IT network; SharePoint sites used by committees and workgroups; and the eCMID vessel inspection system. The developer aspect of the role encompasses our website, with new features in the pipeline, expanded use of SharePoint functionality; making more efficient use of IMCA data; and liaising with the external eCMID development team.

Adam previously worked for IMCA from 1998 to 2010, mainly in the role of Support Services Manager. Since 2010, he spent a number of years as a freelance developer and content producer, adding to his IT knowledge and experience, including projects for some IMCA members. In 2016, IMCA commissioned Adam to redevelop its website, producing the site we are using today, and subsequently engaged him on other IT-related projects before making this full-time appointment in November 2017.

The association is also currently recruiting an IT Services Assistant to expand the frontline support available to staff, committee/workgroup members and eCMID users.
