People:
The Committee focuses on the unique and pressing challenges of attracting and supporting people within the marine contracting industry.
At the heart of IMCA lies a comprehensive structure of Committees and Special Interest Groups that bring Members together to drive our activity across a range of technical, specialist, and focused areas. These support IMCA’s mission of advocating for technical excellence and standardisation, championing a safe, skilled, and diverse workforce, and supporting sustainability and operational efficiency.
Committees develop our Technical Library by inputting into the Guidance and Information Notes that we produce. This provides Committee members with a unique opportunity to shape the future of the industry by sharing their expertise, insights, and experiences.
IMCA has three standing Committees that report to IMCA’s Board – the Operations Committee, which oversees IMCA’s technical output; the People Committee, which addresses the challenge of attracting and supporting the skilled workforce our industry needs; and the Membership Committee, which ensures that Member views are captured, represented, and acted upon.
All other Committees and Special Interest Groups report into one of these three standing Committees.

Our Core Committees cover a range of topics fundamental to our mission of improving offshore performance. They bring together a range of technical and subject matter experts to explore issues of vital importance to our Members.
Our Regional Committees provide an opportunity for Members – wherever they are based or working – to come together and explore local industry issues with peers.
Specialist groups are formed on a time-limited basis to supplement the work programme of some Committees. These provide opportunities to feed into future guidance, to explore a topic in greater detail, and in some instances welcome contributors from outside IMCA's membership base to share their insights and expertise.
