Speaker biographies

Andrew's career journey began in agency work with Seistech. After Atlas Professionals acquired the company, they promoted him to UK Operations Director. His relocation to Singapore in 2017 sparked his entrepreneurial spirit, leading to the establishment of Elevate Offshore in 2020 – an agency that truly does things differently.

Andrew has overall responsibility for the commercial strategy and direction of Elevate Offshore, but most of all enjoys involvement in day-to-day operations, meeting people and delivering on their expectations.

Bill joined IMCA in November 2021 and has 25 years of experience in the commercial diving industry. 

He spent 12 years at the Health & Safety Executive in the UK regulating the safety of divers working in the offshore energy and other sectors of the diving industry. During his time at the HSE, Bill also worked as a decommissioning specialist. 

Bill worked as an air and saturation diver on a wide range of diving projects and also held a variety of topside positions, including project engineer and project manager. 

He holds a BSc (Hons) in Geography; an MSc in Marine Resource Management; and an MSc in Decommissioning.

Darren is the Managing Director of KB Associates Pte Ltd and KBA Training Center Ptd Ltd. 

In 2002, he co-established KB Associates Pte Ltd (KBA) based in Singapore. As a safety consultancy & training provider for the Offshore/Inshore Diving and Marine industries.

Darren has a MSc in Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management and a Chartered Fellow of the Institution of Safety & Occupational Health (CFIOSH). 

Darren has been a member of the IMCA Diving Division Committee for the last 20 years and Regional Committee for the past 18 years and more recently as Vice Chairman and Chairman for the last 5 years.

Lino Brogneri is the founder of LOGiiT, a digital logbook and competence tracking platform designed for the offshore industry. With a career spanning over two decades in commercial diving and offshore operations, he understands the industry’s challenges firsthand. 

After transitioning from offshore work in 2020, he focused on developing innovative digital solutions to streamline logging, data management, and compliance. Under his leadership, LOGiiT has become an IMCA member, aligning with industry standards to enhance transparency and efficiency. 

Lino is committed to driving digital transformation in offshore operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping and competence tracking for companies and professionals alike.

Captain Mike Meade, CMMar FNI MICS MIMarEST, an experienced Master Mariner and holder of an unlimited DP (Dynamic Positioning) Operators Certificate, is the founder and CEO of the M3 Marine Group, one of Asia’s largest independent Offshore Shipbroking & Marine Consultancy groups.

Prior to setting up the M3 Group, Mike spent 9 years with Seacor Holdings where he held senior roles in the Middle East, the US, the UK and Asia. Previously, Mike spent 15 years with the Swire Group where he held various senior management positions after command experience on offshore vessels, with Swire Pacific Offshore.

Dr Bryson started off his diving medicine interest at Discovery Bay Hyperbaric Unit in Jamaica whilst he was working in Kingston in the very early days of his medical career.  He then moved to Plymouth (UK) where he worked as a volunteer at the Diving Diseases Research Centre for 6 years whilst he completed his training to be a GP.

He then managed to turn his hobby into a career and carried on working at DDRC for the next 25 years being the Medical Director there for his last 11 years, prior to leaving to take up a job at International SOS in December 2010.  In 2023 TAC Healthcare took over the Aberdeen International SOS business and he is now their Medical Director of Diving Services.

He has published extensively in specialist medical journals, been the medical advisor to Sport Diving organisations in the UK, sits on the DMAC, EDTC, UK Diving Medical Committee and EUBS committees and is the current Vice President of the UHMS.  He has also sat on several IMCA working groups.

Rhys previously worked at RenewableUK for 12 years as Head of Technical Affairs with a strong focus on offshore wind, health, safety and wellbeing, and regulatory compliance. He developed various industry good practice guidance documents and run many industry committees associated with this. 

Prior to joining RenewableUK, Rhys worked for Petrofac Training Services as bringing the added benefit to IMCA of a strong safety, competence and training background.

Simon, currently holding the position of Project Diving Advisor with K-Subsea, has had an extensive career over 20 years bringing a wealth of hands-on experience contributing to an unwavering commitment to safety and operational excellence in projects involving complex diving and ROV activities.   

In his current role as, he is primarily responsible for regulating and ensuring the safety of diving and ROV operations, as well as promoting competence within the offshore team.

Witthayakom is a proficient engineer with extensive experience in offshore installation and decommissioning. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Prince of Songkhla University. Witthayakom has held various key roles at Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd., and previously at leading T&I and EPCI companies. Currently a Project Manager for Pipeline Removal, he oversees complex offshore projects, including pipeline and subsea assets disconnection, replacement, and removal. Certified in NEBOSH, Client Representative for DP DSV vessel, CSWIP3.4U, and Lean Sigma Green Belt.
