After a career at sea of 18 years in various ranks as dual officer with Maersk, continued ashore as fleetmanager with a container and short seas shipping company. Fleetmanager with Boskalis since 2018 for a.o. the , diving support vessels, AHT and LDT tugs and sheerleg fleet.

Graeme started his career in 2008 as a Graduate Electrical Engineer with Noble Denton Consultants conducting DP/ offshore systems assurance work.


Graeme then joined Subsea 7 in 2011 as a DP/ Electrical Engineer supporting the fleet of vessels before moving to the ROV department in 2014 where he supported the new build ROV programmes and worked closely with trying to improve the reliability of ROV umbilicals. He moved to a broader equipment electrical engineering role which supported all project equipment.


A return to his natural habitat in the DP/ Electrical department was realised in 2017, where he went on to become DP, Electrical and Controls Technical Authority in 2019 where he operates today. Graeme has been a participant in IMCA workgroups and latterly the DP committee since 2018.

Hulya Ozgur, who spent most of her life in the U.S., graduated from METU Mechanical Engineering Department in 1995. With over 30 years of experience across 10 countries, she has held roles in quality management, business development, commercial management, project management, and risk management. She managed commercial/contract processes for EPC portfolio totaling about $15 billion and was the PD for the $1.5 billion Woodfibre LNG project. Since returning to Turkey for the Sakarya Gas Field Development project, she has served as the BU Director of Subsea7 since 2021.

Joey Fisher has 27 years of offshore marine engineering experience and is highly regarded in the DP FMEA authoring and DP Vessel Assurance fields. 

Joey is the vice chair of the IMCA Marine DP Committee and co-vice chair of the MTS DP Sub Committee for Guidance and Standards. He is also the Chairman of the DP Asia Technical Committee. He devotes much of his spare time to assisting with the development and review of DP related industry standards. 

In 2022, Joey was presented with “The Howard Shatto Distinguished Achievement Award” by the MTS DP Committee, for his work towards improving dynamic positioning safety.

John has been involved in the Offshore Energy market for 38 years.  Starting as a cadet on PSVs and advancing to the rank of Master on DP Construction and ROV vessels he then made the move ashore first as a Class 1 Marine Pilot, Project Manager with Globa Maritime, Offshore Superintendent with BP before joining Stena in 2013 where he is responsible for the deepwater DP3 drilling fleet.

He is engaged in several industry groups including past Chair of Marine Safety Forum, a Fellow of the Nautical Institute, and a Member of the Technical Sub Committee of MTS.

Outside of DP it’s all about family, trucks, cars and rugby.

Luca manages DP Simulations tools and DP Capability services through development, projects, training and sales/marketing efforts.

Luca joined DVN in 2007 as a project engineer and, from 2010 to 2016, as R&D manager for DP systems, focusing on the development of tools and methods for HIL testing and time-domain vessel simulations. He has more than 30 publications in conferences and journals and has participated in the development and writing of different DNV and other international standards.

Luca has a Doctor of Philosophy from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Norway and a Master of Engineering from Politecnico of Torino.

Suman Muddusetti has a career spanning 47 years in the Marine Industry, the first 10 of which has been in the Merchant marine with the rest in diverse roles in the  Upstream Energy Sector. Dynamic Positioning has been constant.

He serves as the Chairman of the MTS DP Committee,  the Chair of the MTS DP Sub Committee on Guidance and Standards  and the Vice Chair of DP ASIA.  He is the recipient of the MTS FELLOW AWARD in 2013 and the recipient of the MTS DPC Distinguished Achievement Award in 2011.

While he introduces himself as a ‘student of DP’ he holds a day job at Shell as a Principal Marine Operations Engineer accountable for DP operations and Shell’s Diving Center of Excellence.

Aleks Karlsen has been with DNV since 99. He currently holds the position as DNV Senior Principal Specialist on Dynamic Positioning Systems and is working at the DNV head office in Norway.
Aleks is responsible for DNV classification DP rules and standards and has also been leading the development of several new rules and standards, including: 
•    Dynamic Positioning Systems with Enhanced Reliability, 
•    Rules for Enhanced System Verification, including Hardware in the Loop testing, 
•    DP capability assessment, 
•    Recommended practices for Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, DP systems based on closed bus-ties, DP system integration, and data-driven-verification (DDV).

Aleks holds a bachelor’s degree in control systems, and a master’s degree in electrical systems from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim Norway.
Before Aleks joined DNV he was the owner of and skipper on a 95 feet trawler, fishing in the Norwegian and Barents Sea.
Aleks is a member of the IMCA DP committee, MTS DP Guidance and Standards Sub Committee, and DP Asia conference technical committee.
Aleks was in 2014 awarded the MTS DP committee’s “Distinguished Achievement Award”.
