IMCA Awards 2026 announced

The IMCA Awards 2026 are designed to recognise excellence within the marine contracting industry, highlight outstanding achievements, and promote best practice. Each year the awards celebrate success across multiple categories including:

  • Environmental Sustainability,
  • Health, Safety and Security,
  • People Development, Innovation and
  • Technology, and the
  • Rising Star award.

Taking onboard feedback we received from last year’s participants, this year’s Awards include updates designed to simplify the submission process and, most importantly, ensure that SME Members have a greater opportunity to see their achievements recognised.

One improvement to last year’s process was to merge the Sustainability and the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Project categories into one award, after comments that several of the submissions we received last year met the criteria for both. As a result, this year’s Sustainability Project of the Year award recognises all projects that support environmental sustainability or decarbonisation.

Another positive outcome from last year’s submission feedback is the opportunity for SME Members to complete with projects put forward by larger Members. So this year, alongside the main Award in each of the four company categories, judges will also recognise outstanding projects submitted by SME Members in each, ensuring all Members receive the opportunity for their achievements to be celebrated.

Iain Grainger, IMCA Chief Executive, said: “The 2025 IMCA Awards showcased exceptional projects across all categories that demonstrated clear, verifiable improvements in safety performance, environmental stewardship, digital capability, and workforce development and we’re certain that this year will be no different. I’m particularly pleased to give greater prominence this year to the outstanding work done by IMCA’s hundreds of smaller Members through additional SME Awards in each category.”

IMCA Members have until 3 August to submit their entries. Winners will be announced at the IMCA Gala Dinner, at the IMCA Global Summit in Antwerp Belgium on 28-29 October 2026 so submit your projects today!
