The International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) has announced the launch of ‘IMCA Partnerships’, a new initiative designed to enhance and formalise IMCA's strategic relationships with key stakeholders across the offshore energy sector.
IMCA Partnerships introduces a structured approach to collaboration with organisations that play an important role in supporting IMCA’s mission. These include trade associations, membership organisations, non-governmental bodies, regulators, academic institutions, and other non-profit organisations.
IMCA Partnerships will be offered by invitation to organisations with whom IMCA has shared objectives, recognising the value that closer cooperation with key stakeholders generates for IMCA Members.
In doing so, it will strengthen alignment around shared priorities that fall within IMCA’s mission: to advocate for technical excellence and standardisation, support a safe, skilled, and diverse workforce, and advance sustainability and operational efficiency in offshore activities.
Jo Deal, IMCA’s Head of Member Engagement, said: “With the introduction of IMCA Partnerships, we are reinforcing our commitment to collaboration across the offshore industry, creating a stronger, more connected network to address shared challenges and opportunities.
“This new structure allows us to ensure our relationships are purposeful, aligned, and mutually beneficial – generating real value for IMCA Members.”
As part of the launch, IMCA will conduct a review of all its existing ‘Associate’ Members. Those with strong strategic alignment will be invited to transition to IMCA Partnerships category during 2026.
