Summary

This document is intended to provide an overview of factors for consideration when choosing and operating ROV-mounted positioning, surveying and imaging sensors, which may be used for more than one specific purpose.
All ROVs are equipped with some level of sensors for control and navigation of the vehicle. Often these are supplemented for specific survey tasks which require the acquisition of additional or more accurate data.
