This document provides guidance on the use of battery-operated personal electronic devices (PEDs) and chamber electronic devices (CEDs) in hyperbaric chambers and other pressure vessels for human occupancy (PVHOs). 
 

The document's purpose is to help diving contractors and others understand and manage the risks associated with batteries in hyperbaric environments, particularly fire, toxic fumes, electric shock, pressure-related failures, and environmental contamination.
