Safety videos break 1.8 million views as new Thai language channel launches
Published on 25 October 2023
A new Thai language YouTube channel has launched devoted to improving offshore safety. The channel, run by IMCA, shares 15 safety videos which have been translated from English.
Available to all and for free, the videos ensure that offshore workers originally from Thailand can access safety information from IMCA in their native language.
Designed to offer a bite-sized and engaging means of accessing offshore safety best-practice, the videos are ideal for companies looking to complement their own internal safety awareness and training offering.
Among the videos launched are safety films on working at height, line of fire, confined space and lifting equipment.

IMCA’s safety videos were originally launched in 2009 and the new Thai language videos join Arabic, English, French, Indonesian, Italian, Malaysian, Spanish, Tagalog and Portuguese channels.
Commenting on the launch of the channel, Nick Hough, Consultant – Safety at IMCA said: “Our videos have had a huge impact for offshore safety having been viewed more than 1.8 million times online. They are a great resource for companies working offshore around the globe and we’ve worked hard over the years to translate them so as many people as possible can access the vital information and best-practice in their native tongue.”
“I’m delighted to share this new channel which will improve safety for Thai offshore workers and companies working in Thailand, across the Asia Pacific region, and beyond.”
“I’d like to thank Ocean Works Asia for giving up their time in translating the videos into Thai, and to have shared them with us for the benefit of offshore safety.”
