IMCA in Action
Our Members play a key role in the offshore oil & gas and renewable energy industries. Principally, this is through the engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of offshore wind farms and hydrocarbon production facilities, together with the ongoing life of field support and maintenance requirements of these assets. IMCA Events
Marine Contractors use an advanced and diverse fleet of specialist vessels to undertake construction, inspection, repair and maintenance of offshore facilities. From these vessels, an assortment of specialist equipment is used for installing and removing platforms, pipelines, control systems, subsea production equipment etc. In addition, there is a sophisticated array of robotic and diving technologies deployed to facilitate intervention in deep water.
The supply side of the industry varies from large, integrated contractors providing a full range of services on a global scale to smaller, specialised contractors focusing on specific technical or geographic markets. Supporting all contractors is a wide range of suppliers with an equally wide range of products and services. IMCA Members are active in all sectors of the industry.
