Theme: Challenges & opportunities in safety: attracting and keeping the right people

The changeable times in which we live are having a tremendous impact on our industry. Our members need to provide the highest standards of quality assurance for their operations.

This has become increasingly challenging when there are difficulties in identifying, recruiting, training and retaining appropriately skilled and competent people to do a safe job. The seminar will address some of the safety challenges in the post-pandemic world, including:

  • How has COVID impacted safety and competency?
  • How is the skills shortage impacting our ability to deliver services safely?
  • How do we identify and select people who will do a safe job?
  • How do we “onboard” new people to embrace best safety practices?

The steering committee is currently finalising an exciting agenda addressing this subject from a safety perspective including IMCA’s CEO, Board representatives and speakers from Equinor, TechnipFMC, Fugro, POML, MMA Offshore and involvement of IMCA’s Competence & Training Committee. so watch this space!
