IMCA appoint new Africa Member Engagement lead

IMCA is pleased to announce that Mary Ntamark has been appointed as IMCA's new Member Engagement lead for Africa.

We thank David Bloom, who oversaw Member Engagement across the whole Europe & Africa region before his retirement at the end of 2025, having worked at IMCA for over eight years.

Mary supported David in this role in recent years, helping to deliver numerous events for our Members, including successful Regional Meetings in Cape Town, South Africa, and Accra, Ghana, with our next planned Europe & Africa Regional Meeting taking place in Lagos, Nigeria on 6 August 2026 (find out more).

We are confident that Mary’s leadership will help us foster a more engaged regional network, ensuring that the voice of Members in Africa is strengthened within IMCA.

Mary grew up in Cameroon, West Africa, before beginning her career in the oil and gas industry developing, implementing, and managing environmental management programmes for projects in Angola, Egypt, Turkey, the Middle East, and the UK.

Mary is a chartered environmentalist with the Institute of Environmental and Sustainability Professionals, holding a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Cameroon, a Master of Science degree in Pollution and Environmental Control from the University of Manchester, and most recently a certification in Business Sustainability Management from the University of Cambridge.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mary directly at [email protected].
