Engine room fire on offshore vessel
The Marine Safety Forum (MSF) has published Safety Flash 11-32 regarding a fire reported in the main engine room of an offshore support vessel which was under tow at the time. The source of the fire was identified as being fuel oil leaking from the flange on a fuel injector pump onto an engine.
