Underwater Ship Husbandry Seminar
Book now to secure your place.
IMCA is bringing the commercial diving community, vessel owners, port and harbour authorities and regulators together to explore best-practice for Underwater Ship Husbandry (UWSH) at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore on Thursday 10 October 2024.
Following a number of recent and avoidable diver deaths, and the publication of new IMCA Guidance, we are convening the industry with the goal of improving safety at a special one-day Technical Seminar.
Delegates will hear from a range of industry and regulatory experts from SeaTec, the Singapore Shipping Association, the Singapore Ministry of Manpower, Subsea7, and Total Energies.
Attendees will be reminded of the real-life consequences of diving incidents, with Lewis Beddows sharing his story from the stage. Lewis will also be joined by his father Derek Beddows to explore the lessons learned from his diving incident in Las Palmas in December 2018.
In addition, guests will hear from IMCA CEO Iain Grainger, Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI) Executive Director Phil Newsum, and Commercial Diving Association Singapore (CDAS) Chairman, Alexis Chee. Explore the programme in full.
The event is co-hosted by IMCA, ADCI, CDAS, and OCIMF. Owing to the event’s vital importance to diving safety, the seminar is open to anyone with a working interest in the topic. However, places are limited so book now to avoid disappointment.
Please note that we will also hold an IMCA Asia Pacific Regional Meeting at the same venue on Wednesday 9 October 2024. Attendance is free to anyone working for an IMCA Member and registration is now open.
