The Australian National Offshore Petroleum Safety Authority (NOPSA) has recently published Safety Alert 45 regarding the functional safety of control systems.

The safety alert is designed to raise awareness of possible problems with control systems for cranes, diving systems, pipe handling equipment etc., and may be of relevance to IMCA member’s.
