Recent IMCA Webinars

Asia-Pacific and Middle East & India

On 17 March 2021 our Asia-Pacific and Middle East & India committees hosted a webinar covering a brief IMCA update from Allen Leatt, Chief Executive and presentations from Mike Liddell of Fugro represented the Offshore Survey Committee, on Common Industry Technical Specification for USBL calibration and verification, Margaret Fitzgerald , Head of Marine Policy & Regulatory Affairs shared pertinent COVID-19 updates including the work IMCA is involved in as part of an industry Vaccination Taskforce, and Nina Su of Siemens Gamesa provided an update on offshore renewables from the G+ APAC group.

South America

At the end of April, IMCA’s South America regional committee hosted a webinar focusing on Environmental Sustainability with speakers from IMCA, Oceaneering and Group CBO. The webinar which saw record attendance was led by John Chatten, Chair, Daniel Marins, Vice Chair and Andy Goldsmith, IMCA Lead and well supported by the rest of the committee.

North America

On 12 May our North America Committee hosted a webinar on North America and the global energy outlook with presentations from Chief Executive Allen Leatt, G+ in North America and market intelligence updates provided on the global wind market by Westwood Global and a broad industry perspective from Enverus.

IMCA at Industry events

In March, OSJ hosted a series of virtual events as part of its Annual Offshore Support Journal Conference between 23 – 25 March with sessions dedicated to DP, Subsea, Offshore Wind and Offshore Support Vessels. IMCA’s Technical Director, Mark Ford continues to be part of the Advisory Committee. IMCA’s Graeme Reid and Andy Goldsmith both presented at the European DP Conference alongside a number of IMCA Member companies.
Andy presented dynamic positioning station keeping events and incidents for 2020 and Graeme presented on DP netstorm testing.

In April, IMCA supported MCE Deepwater Development in its first virtual event on 21 & 22 April with Nadine Robinson, Technical Adviser- Environmental Sustainability involved in the energy transition session and Andre Rose, Technical Adviser and USV Workgroup member Eric Primeau of BP both participated in the unmanned and autonomous technologies session.

In May, Graeme Reid, Adam Hugo and Ade Adebanjo were all involved in the eCMID Festival of Knowledge.
