IMCA announces new President

- Iain Grainger of McDermott becomes IMCA’s new President and Chairman of the Board
In accordance with its constitution, International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) announces that Iain Grainger is its new President and Chairman of the Board. Iain, Vice President Commercial at McDermott, takes over from Harke Jan Meek. Furthermore, that Pieter Heerema from Allseas becomes the new Vice President.
Iain Grainger said: “My aim is to increase the impact and effectiveness of IMCA to its members and other stakeholders through the implementation of our strategy developed over the last year. I have a particular passion in developing collaborative ‘win-win’ relationships between operators, contractors and suppliers in order to bring projects off the drawing board and into the field.”
Allen Leatt, IMCA Chief Executive, said: “We thank Harke for his leadership and contribution to IMCA, and very much look forward to Iain’s energy, challenge and leadership as we move forward.”
