DPO CPD APP Launched by Nautical Institute and IMCA

The Nautical Institute (NI) and the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) have worked together to develop a Dynamic Positioning Operators (“DPO”) continuing professional development (“CPD”) app which is launched today (24 March 2021). Feedback from industry is that CPD is an effective means to combat knowledge and skill fade, and this scheme will be a welcome addition to the market and the DPO community alike. The scheme is designed to help DPOs maintain their technical knowledge of the latest industry practices. Register for IMCA’s Diving CPD

Register for IMCA’s app-based continuing professional development (CPD) scheme for diving supervisors, which incorporates the latest in training techniques to support diving supervisors in keeping up to date with current information and guidelines from IMCA. New Module for IMCA’s Diving CPD

The International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) launches the third module for its App-based continuing professional development (CPD) scheme for Diving Supervisors on 1 September. The App incorporates the latest in training techniques to support Diving Supervisors in keeping up to date with current information and guidelines from IMCA. The new module Module three is now available and covers the following areas: Trapped Diver umbilical in incidents Management of Change Hat Hygiene Diving Physics Decompression Illness (DCI) Bell Batteries Module four is scheduled for launch in December this year. IMCA Launches Unit Two of Diving CPD App

The International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) has launched a new unit of its App-based continuing professional development (CPD) scheme for Diving Supervisors. The App incorporates the latest in training techniques to support Diving Supervisors in keeping up to date with current information and guidelines from IMCA. The scheme went live early in April with 250 diving supervisors who had pre-registered and now, within six weeks, more than 600 supervisors are using the system. Application Process Now Open for IMCA's DP Practitioner Accreditation Scheme

The application process for the International Marine Contractors Association’s (IMCA) DP Practitioner Accreditation Scheme opens today (1 May 2019). The launch sees additional support documentation added to the IMCA website and the first dates announced for examinations with further dates to follow. Two categories of practitioners are eligible for accreditation: A DP Trials and Assurance Practitioner, i.e. an individual actively involved in producing, witnessing and assessing the results of DP Failure Modes and Effects Analysis proving trials and DP annual trial programmes; and A company DP Authority, i.e. the responsible individual for a vessel operator or end charterer for managing
